Academic Olympics

About:

Six students from grades 7-9 compete with surrounding schools in the junior high division. Six students from grades 10-12 compete surrounding schools in the high school division. There are 6 rounds, and in each round the team members are giving 30 seconds to answer the question with the exception of math questions which are 60 seconds. If the question is answered correctly the team will earn 1 point. There are 6 members on each team but only 5 are allowed at the table for all the normal rounds. The normal rounds are English, science, math, social studies, and current events. The last round is the lightening round. The 6 team member will be given a question and will have 10 seconds to answer unless otherwise stated. If the question is answered correctly the team will earn 2 points, and if the question is answered incorrectly they will get a point taken away.
