Another great KC3 lesson from Kelsey from NDSU Extension for third grade! They learned about Composting this time, and got to play their favorite game -sheep and farmers!

The fourth graders had a fang-tastic time at school. We had a Halloween themed science experiment right away in the morning and ended the day with delicious treats and spooky music.
Scherling Photography will be at Wilton Public School to take your child's school picture on Thursday, November 7! Retake Day is Thursday, December 12. A couple weeks after picture day, you will receive an online access code to go online to view your child's pictures. At that time you can place your order and select the background of your choice at no charge. If no background is selected your background will be blue.
5-12th grade had the opportunity to talk with college representatives from Minot State University, North Dakota State University, University of North Dakota, Mayville State University, Dickinson State University, & Valley City State University! There will be more college fairs throughout the school year!
The drama department invites you to join us on November 10th at 7:00pm for our performance. Come early for a fundraiser dinner, starting at 5:30, and enjoy a great evening with us.
Mrs. W's 3rd grade had a great time learning from NDSU nursing students at the health fair this morning. 😊
NDSU nursing students at Sanford Health came to the school on Friday to do a health fair for our Elementary students. Students learned about seatbelt safety, online safety, bike safety, water safety and sugar in drinks/importance of water.
Saturday morning at approximately 10:30 AM there will be a Car Parade/Escort send off as our Roughrider Football Team leaves for the state football playoffs in Velva. The bus will start at the football parking lot in Washburn, go by the front of Washburn High School and down through Main Street.

9th and 10th grade AVID students worked in groups to write the alphabet while connected by a string, competing for a prize. This exercise focused on building relational capacity—strengthening connections and fostering collaboration among peers. Building relational capacity is a key part of AVID, and it’s inspiring to see these students grow together!
State Cross Country 2024:
The Roughrider Boys came into the meet ranked 11th and ran lights out to finish in 7th! This is the highest team finish for the boys in the history of the Southern McLean co-op!!! Cody, Easton, and Daniel ran lifetime PRs!
The girls came in ranked 12th and finished in 11th! Chev, Brooke, Lacy, Ciarra, and Briella ran PRs!
For both teams to exceed our pre-meet rankings shows how ready the athletes were to run their best. Coach Stamstad and the whole Roughrider community is beyond proud of each and every single athlete today! They ran with heart and they ran for each other. It was a special day.
To Kari, Cody, and Quinton: thank you. Your Senior leadership has been amazing. You have shown the other athletes what it means to work hard, sacrifice, and lead by example. You will be greatly missed next year.
