We’re excited to bring the action to you live, and making that possible is our very own coordinator, Mr. Thompson. He’s the man behind the camera and the stream, ensuring that fans near and far can enjoy every play, every touchdown, and every moment of tonight’s matchup on Wilton School FB Page at 7:00. We thank him for his hard work and dedication to our program—so sit back, relax, and enjoy the game, brought to you live by Mr. Thompson!

Mrs.Hutzenbiler's second grade has had a great start of the year painting, dancing with our high school mentees to a GoNoodle, and partnering for Roll and Read!

Another successful tournament in the books for the Southern McLean Girls golf team! Ava Schmidt took 3rd for JV and Alexandria Arnold placed 5th but lost it in a tiebreaker! I’m so proud of these girls! If we didn’t take away a medal, we took away new personal best scores, first time tournament play, new friendships, memories, and lessons learned. We know what to work on next time we see each other, but for today, VICTORY! 🏅 ⛳️ 🏌🏻♀️-Coach Herzog

Painted Woods Golf Course
Friday, August 29
There will be a free meal of sloppy joes and chips for each Roughrider football player and coach after this Fridays football game at Painted Woods Golf Course. All players and families are welcome after the game. Kitchen will be open until 10:00 pm (later if necessary) to the public.
This meal will be sponsored by Jamie Nelson and TruCommunity Bank.

For safety purposes, we ask that all elementary students wear close-toed shoes every day for outdoor physical education activities. This helps prevent injuries and allows students to participate fully in play and movement. Thank you for your cooperation!

Roughrider cross country opened their season with some fast times in Jamestown today! Congratulations to Dan, Easton, and Beckett for qualifying for the State Meet and to Rissy and Aubrey for placing top 20 in the 4k girls race!

Transportation Guidelines:
Any student who should need to drive to practice, games, off campus class must have a signed and notarized liability waiver in place with Jenna in the office. Any questions please email Mr. Yetterboe.

Today’s meet in Mott was another success. Olivia Schmidt placed 5th out of 37 JH players today.
I do not want to discount, however, the other players who showed up and did their best today.
Calissa Cleveland
Hope Koble
Ebby Kulzer and Willow Holter. (JV)
2 varsity girls came to follow along and support.
3 of the 5 of these girls have been practicing golf since August 4…
it’s the 18th.
All 5 showed up in more ways than one.
They:
~walked 9 holes
~shot amazing scores for picking up clubs for a solid 10 actual days
~had GREAT attitudes
~had fun
And most most importantly, my 3 rules. Respect yourself, respect others, and respect your surroundings.
We are all learning every day how these tourneys work and please trust me when I say… the Roughriders Girls Golf Team will be bringing the heat. I am already seeing some major improvements from day one. In their game AND their confidence.
Join me in congratulating them on their second successful meet. 🤗⛳️

In case you didn't get the Back to School Newsletter their is a parent/player sports meeting tonight at 6:15 in the commons area.

All fall sports are in full swing now starting today. Our JH/JV girls golf team is in Mott for an invite today. 9-12 volleyball has their first practice today. Elementary Girls Basketball starts tomorrow for 5th and 6th Graders. Just a reminder to stop in at school to buy your activity passes for the year. Cross Country and Football have their first competitions on Friday and Saturday this week.

To say I am proud of these girls is an understatement. From some of them never picking up a club to these swings is phenomenal. They get excited to play on the course and learn more every day, as do I. I thought there was no equal love than being called mom. But Coach is right up there. 😊 We are having fun at every practice but remembering to focus. Headed to a tournament in Mott on Monday. Wish us luck!!! ~Coach Stacy Herzog
