The Southern McLean Football meeting is tonight. Meeting is for students in grades 7-12 and parents that are interested in playing football this upcoming season. Meeting starts at 6:30 in the grandstands of the game field in Washburn.

Wilton and Wing athletes that need concussion testing will meet at the Wilton school at 2:15 and take a bus to Washburn. Required Concussion Testing at Washburn Tuesday, August 2nd Required for all 7th, 9th and 11th grade Southern McLean Football and Cross Country members. Also required for all XC and FB members that were not tested last year. 1:30: Washburn Athletes 2:30: Wilton Wing Athletes

Reminder to ALL fall athletes grades 7-12: You need to have a current physical, code of conduct, AND athletic fee turned in to the main office at the Wilton school BEFORE your first practice. You can pick up the code of conducts during business hours.

Wilton/Wing - Southern McLean Fall Sports First Practices Southern McLean Football August 1: Mandatory 7-12 Player-Parent Meeting at 6:30 PM in the football grandstand at the Washburn High School Sport Complex, weather permitting. August 4: First day of varsity football practice for grades 9-12 will be 8:00 am. Bus leaves Wilton at 7:20 am. August 8: First day of practice for grades 7-8. Bus leaves Wilton at 3:15. All JH practices will be 3:45-5:30. Wilton/Wing Volleyball August 15: First day of varsity volleyball practice for grades 9-12 at 3:30 pm. August 18: First day of junior high volleyball practice for 7-8 grade. 3:30 pm. Southern McLean Cross Country August 8: First day of Cross Country practice for grades 7-12 in Washburn at 8:00 am. Bus leaves Wilton at 7:30 am. Wilton/Wing Elementary girls basketball August 22: Practice starts at 4:00 in Wing. Bus leaves Wilton at 3:30. Practices will run until 5:30 with the bus returning to Wilton at 6:00.

REMINDER: sports physical at the school today from 8:00 am to 12:00.

Cross country (grades 7-12) is having “open runs” every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 8. Tuesdays are in Washburn and Thursdays are in Wilton (unless otherwise specified). We hope to see our XC athletes come join the fun.

Information for those interested in playing football for grades 7-12. Dates to know for first couple weeks of football: August 1 - Mandatory Player-Parent Meeting. 6:30 PM in the football grandstand at the Washburn High School Sport Complex, weather permitting. August 4 - First day of football practice for grades 9-12. August 4, 5, & 6 (yes, we will practice Saturday August 6) and then August 8-12 will be practice in the morning. 8:00 - 11:30 AM. There will also be a scrimmage this week, details are still being worked out. August 8 first day of practice for grades 7-8. All JH practices will be 3:45-5:30. August 15-18 practice at “normal” after school hours 3:45-6:00 for grades 9-12 starting this week going forward. August 19 - first Varsity game vs South Prairie in Washburn August 22 - first JH and JV games vs Linton in Washburn Players need physicals prior to the first practice. Sport physicals will be available at Wilton High School July 19 8am - 12pm and Aug 2 noon - 4pm. No appointments are necessary. Players will not practice if they do not have a physical turned in. Happy 4th of July!

Yesterday was a busy day for the music kids! We went to Red Rocks Amphitheater followed by heading to downtown Denver where we caught part of the Stanley Cup Parade. In the afternoon, we saw an IMAX film at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and went to an Aquarium.

The Wilton and Center/Stanton music kids have been busy white water rafting, hiking at Garden of the Gods, and walking the worlds longest suspension bridge at Royal Gorge. Everyone is having a blast!
