Congratulations to the Roughriders Girls Golf team! They celebrated the end of their season today. Awards went to Olivia Schmidt - Most Outstanding, Willow Holter - Most Improved, Ava Schmidt - Most Spirit, and Ebby Kulzer - Perserverance Award.
The Roughriders made the journey up to Grand Forks for the 4th Annual "Border Battle" cross country meet. Over 2800 runners from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Canada competed! Congratulations to all the Roughriders on a great day of running fast!

And just like that here we are at the end of the golf season for the girls of Southern Mclean County. It has been my absolute pleasure and honor to help guide these girls using their natural athletic ability. Now that we have a start, these girls can hone in on their skills all year round. Most importantly, these girls learned and perfected other important life skills besides the game of golf. I am so very proud of all the work that they have put in this season and can’t wait to see them again all year and hear how their practicing is going. Thank you to everyone who has supported us. We appreciate your kindness and willingness to help a new adventure get off the ground. Thank you for trusting me with your children and I sure hope to continue coaching for the 2026 season. Our last scramble of the year was held at South Heart. Two of our JH girls were on the winning team for the scramble. Our theme was 80s. Although we did not qualify for state, keep an eye on these girls because they are really headed for greatness in the Golf world. I look forward to our awards on Sunday, and after that, see you next fall! I will be working out at the golf course all winter so come in and say hi. In 4th grade science class with Miss Ace we are learning about flower parts. These young scientists had to dissect flowers and sort the parts we learned about. It was so fun watching them be excited about learning.
Although the home meet was postponed, that didn't stop the Roughrider Cross Country teams from finding somewhere else to run fast! The teams went to Dickinson this morning and had a great day, evidenced by 17 lifetime PRs/season best performances!
