Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we near the finish line of our building project. I know it has been a long process, but we are excited to finally be preparing classrooms and moving into the new space.
In order to give teachers time to set up their rooms, we will not have school on Friday, October 3rd. This day will allow our staff to unpack, organize, and prepare for students. The first day of classes in the new classrooms will be Monday, October 6th.
I also want to remind you that Monday, September 29th is a scheduled Professional Development Day for staff. On this day, our school will also be conducting an Active Shooter Exercise with Heartland Consulting Group and local emergency personnel. This training is an important part of our safety preparedness, and while there will be a strong presence of law enforcement and first responders at the school, please know this is only a drill. We want you to be aware so you are not alarmed when you see emergency vehicles at the school that day.
As you know, this week is Homecoming Week, and we look forward to celebrating with our students. On Friday, September 19th, students in grades 5–12 will travel to Washburn for the pep rally and parade. The pep rally begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by the parade at 2:30 p.m. Buses will return to Wilton close to 3:30 p.m.
Once again, thank you for your partnership and support. We are excited to open the new classrooms and look forward to the opportunities this new space will bring for our students.
Sincerely,
Mr. Jordan

“Today the girls played in Flasher again for JV/JH and played out of their shoes!! We had two 1sts and a 3rd! I followed their groups and saw some absolute amazing shots and a very close eagle chance! I am so proud of how far these ladies have come. Congratulations to our placers: Ava Schmidt 1st in JV, Alexandria Arnold T3rd in JV and Olivia Schmidt T1st in JH! Keep getting those Personal Bests girls!!!
After the round, of course, we had to stop at Starbucks for a treat since they had to get up at 4:30 AM today!🥰⛳️

For CHOICE Day, our high school AVID class joined the 7th and 8th grade AVID class to play "Monopoly" and "The Game of Life". Learning about budgets and how choices in education and careers effect life can be fun when done with friends and board games!

Yesterday in Killdeer, 3 of our Roughrider golfers played in a pop up tournament. Coaches also got to play! The girls did 9 holes stroke play and 9 alternate shot. What a fun experience. I can’t wait to bring all the girls to do it again soon! We had to have a theme so we chose princesses. Thank you to Clayton Johnson at Medicine Hole for a gorgeous course and an absolute blast!

Yesterday in Flasher was a tough day for our Roughrider girls golf team. Weather and game wise, they had some struggles. However, they kept smiles on their faces, kindness in their hearts, and tried their best to focus on their game, despite the conditions.
A majority of our girls are EXTREMELY new to this sport. And for them to go into a Varsity tournament and complete 18 holes in crappy weather and keep their cool even though sometimes they may not know the right rule, or use the right club, or know the correct term, is pretty amazing to me. Thank you to the coaches and other more experienced players that help guide them on this new journey for a game they can play a lifetime. Working together grows the game for everyone. The bonus was we saw a beautiful rainbow in the morning.🌈 ⛳️~Coach Stacy Herzog
