What a great turnout for the Art Showcase tonight! Beautiful artwork displayed by the Preschool through fourth grade students who had an Artist in Residency. Other artwork displayed were Mrs. Axt's students in Preschool through fifth grade, and high school Art 1 and Art 2 students. We had music by pianists students of Mrs. Quinn as well as high school vocal and instrumental students of Mrs. Haugen and Mrs. Buechele. Before and After school program had art work on display as well. Thanks for all who showed up. And if you couldn't make it, much of the artwork will be hanging in the halls for the rest of the week. Funds provided for the Artist in Residency through a grant from the ND Arts Council and Washburn American Legion

"Tonights session empowers parents & caregivers to foster open communication with youth about internet use and digital boundaries.
This session was created by a parent for parents & caregivers, the session breaks down information into easy-to-understand and digestible parts. This session encourages parents and caregivers to create safe spaces for having difficult and uncomfortable conversations with youth in ways that meet them where they are and prevent them from shutting down and becoming comfortable with discussing sensitive topics like the dangers of pornography exposure.
Ultimately, this session encourages parents & caregivers to "Stay Curious!" about youth’s online activities."
